About the Founder, Dra. Christina V. Rodriguez & the birth of Latinas with Masters

Latinas with Masters is a Digital Sanctuary for Latina Scholars

Dra. Christina V. Rodriguez is a Bay Area native, first-generation Nicaraguan-American, and proud member of the 8% of Latinas with Masters degrees and 1% of Latinas with doctorates. She earned her Ed.D. from Mills College at Northeastern University in Oakland, CA.

Wife, mother of two, dog mom, podcast creator and producer, higher education administrator, housing justice advocate, and edu-preneur, Christina embraces her multi-hyphenate identity while creating equitable opportunities for women of color in academic and professional spaces.

The Birth of Latinas with Masters

What began in July 2020 as online support during graduate school evolved into something revolutionary: a digital sanctuary where Latina scholars don't just survive academia, they transform it. Through viral reels, a podcast breaking barriers of academic gatekeeping, and apparel celebrating academic achievement, Latinas with Masters became the counter-space we desperately needed. With 50K+ followers and 2M+ monthly impressions across digital platforms, this community keeps growing because of the hermanahood who show up and support us every day.

We're not just building a brand, we're documenting our existence, one degree at a time.

~ Dra. Christina V. Rodriguez, Ed.D., MBA
